Best Natural Skin Treatment
Chronic Hives (Urticaria)
Scarring | C-Section Scar
Burns | Cuts | Rashes
Acupuncture is one of the healthiest things you can do for your skin and one of the most effective methods available for treating skin conditions such as those listed above. It is completely natural and achieves quick and lasting results. By promoting the smooth flow of blood and nutrients to and around the affected areas of skin and by dealing with the underlying causes of the condition, acupuncture helps to heal the skin and to diminish the occurrence of flareups.
For any skin issue, from contact dermatitis to burns, acupuncture can accelerate the healing process, lessen or eradicate itching, and relieve pain. Even for issues like scarring (C-Section scars, acne scars, etc.), wrinkles and sagging skin, acupuncture is effective, because it brings fresh blood, fluids and collagen to any area where the needles are placed. This hydrates and nourishes the skin cells causing the skin to regenerate. In the case of burns, cuts, rashes, cold sores, etc., this hydration causes a significant acceleration in the healing process and diminishes or eliminates scarring.
For chronic skin conditions like acne, rosacea, eczema or psoriasis, acupuncture addresses underlying causes within the body and the affected skin on the outside, helping to bring these conditions under control and to reduce or eliminate their symptoms.
Treatment for Eczema, Psoriasis and Other Skin Issues
In the treatment of eczema, acupuncture can be especially effective. With eczema, there are underlying issues that cause the skin to become itchy, red, dry and cracked. Acupuncture addresses these underlying issues and helps to bring the condition under control as well as nourishing and healing the inflamed skin. Generally within 4 – 8 treatments, the areas of affected skin are brought back to a normal state. Also with eczema, there is nearly always a dietary influence, where some aspect of a person’s diet can be causing the eczema to worsen. In these cases, all the necessary dietary advice will be given.

For psoriasis, this is a condition that is historically difficult to treat with any method. With acupuncture, however, progress can be made in improving the condition through addressing the underlying causes and in treating the skin itself. Although almost impossible to eradicate completely, psoriasis can be brought to a more manageable level with acupuncture, where the patches reduce in size and become less dry, itchy and oozy and new patches become less frequent. Generally within 8 -12 treatments, noticeable improvements are made not only in the skin but also in other conditions which can manifest with psoriasis, like anxiety, stress, digestive issues, etc.
Natural Shingles Treatment
It is estimated that approximately one in four people will have at least one episode of shingles during their lifetime. Shingles can be a very distressing condition involving symptoms like achiness, pain, stiffness, headaches, a sensitive skin rash, fatigue and itching. All of these symptoms can be successfully treated with acupuncture along with extracting the virus itself.
In most cases of shingles, the rash after it has gone through its stages of blistering will start to heal in about 3 to 5 weeks. Once the rash has healed, there is often residual pain in the area which can be very intense often lasting for weeks, months and sometimes years. With acupuncture, the time of the illness and the subsequent recovery can be reduced significantly.
In the initial days of the shingles outbreak when the rash first appears, if treated with acupuncture, the process of the illness can be accelerated:
- The rash can generally be brought to its final stages of healing within 5 – 7 days of treatment beginning.
- With the flu-like symptoms that appear even before the rash does, these symptoms are often gone within 4 – 5 days, leaving you feeling more yourself and ready to get back to normal activity.
- Then for the next 7 – 10 days, the symptoms that remain are generally fatigue, pain and itching. These symptoms also dissipate and in most cases, essentially all symptoms are completely relieved within 14 – 21 days, including itchiness, pain, headaches and sensitivity in the rash.
To achieve these results, only four treatments are needed, spaced over two weeks. With each treatment symptoms improve, and by the end of this 2 – 3 week period, life is essentially back to normal, with no rash and without the lingering pain that can sometimes last for months or even years.
In the shingles case below, the patient felt unwell and fatigued for about four days and then on the fifth day came out in a small rash on her left shoulder blade which spread rapidly to cover a large portion of her back. Day 1 below is the second day of the rash and the first day of acupuncture.
By Day 3 the shingles virus has already gone into its second stage of blistering (a process that usually takes place about a week later), and then by Day 7 the rash is well into its healing stage (a point usually reached in 3 – 5 weeks). By Day 15, the rash is almost completely healed with the patient reporting all other symptoms had gone except for some itching and some residual pain at a place near the spine (the origin of the first nerve affected by the virus). By Day 21, all symptoms had completely gone, with only a shadow of healing skin remaining.
Natural Cold Sore Treatment
One of the best things about a cold sore treatment is that nearly all cold sores (that are apparent on the day of the treatment) can be resolved in one treatment. The cold sore or cold sores generally heal up completely and disappear within one to two days of treatment. The treatment addresses the causes within the body for cold sores and the cold sores themselves, so the treatment also functions to help prevent future cold sores.
Natural Verruca Treatment
Because we are always on our feet, verrucas can be a very painful condition. It is also a condition that can take months to heal even with treatments like medicated creams, acids, freezing and surgery. These common methods to treat verrucas can also irritate the skin and are often unable to remedy the other verruca symptoms like pain and itching. Acupuncture on the other hand, rapidly resolves all symptoms along with healing the affected skin. Immediately following the first treatment, the pain diminishes making it easier to walk. The healing process begins, and generally within 2 – 3 weekly treatments, the verrucas are gone along with all other symptoms with no need for any other method of treatment.
Treatment for Scarring | C-Section Scars | Surgical Scars
Acupuncture is one of the most effective methods for diminishing and removing scarring no matter what type of scar it is, whether it is a surgical scar, scarring from an accident, all scars. Even if it is a very deep scar, like in the case of C-Section scarring, acupuncture can soften and reduce the scar tissue through all layers of skin.
Scarring is not always just a cosmetic issue. Deep scarring can also inhibit blood flow, which can lead to referred pain in the areas above and below the scarring, and with C-Section scarring, this referred pain can even travel into the legs and up the chest. Acupuncture softens and thins the scar tissue making it more porous, allowing blood flow to increases causing the pain to go away.
Acupuncture is always beneficial to scar tissue, as it infuses it with blood, bringing about new cell growth, replacing scar tissue with new tissue. With each treatment, there are noticeable improvements in both scar appearance and sensation, and where there is referred pain, generally such pain is eliminated within 2 – 4 treatments.
Treatment for Burns, Cuts and Rashes
Sometimes we burn ourselves when taking something out of the oven or end up with a deep cut from an adventure or an accident. We may even suddenly get a rash from touching something (contact dermatitis), reacting to a medication, or from something unknown. When these things happen, we may find that the burns, cuts and rashes take a too long to heal, and when we are in pain or discomfort, a short time can seem like a long time.
Acupuncture is very effective in speeding up the healing process, reducing pain and preventing scarring. Rapid improvement often follows each treatment. Most burns and cuts can be brought to their final stages of healing in 1 – 3 treatments. Rashes are variable, depending on the cause, but many can be brought under control within 2 – 4 treatments.
It may seem like acupuncture would be especially painful when treating burns, cuts and rashes, but in fact, it is not. The areas affected by these conditions are generally very painful already, but acupuncture will not cause more pain. Matter of fact, acupuncture often diminishes pain immediately, making the condition more comfortable even while lying on the treatment table.
